You
may
or
may
not
be
familiar
with
a
popular
health
advocacy
group
EWG
“Environmental
Working
Group”
that
publishes
a
yearly
report
called
the
“Dirty
Dozen”.
This
report,
popular
on
many
health
oriented
websites,
identifies
a
dozen
of
the
most
pesticide
contaminated
fruits
and
vegetables
found
in
data
of
the
USDA’s
Pesticide Data Program.
EWG
basically
cobbles
the
test
results
from
the
USDA’s
Pesticide
Data
Program,
which
samples
the
most
popular
fruits
and
vegetables
for
pesticide
residues
and
creates
ranking
scores
based
on
six
different
criteria
such
as
measuring
the
number
of
different
pesticide
residues
found
on
each
product,
the
percentage
of
samples
with
pesticide
residues
and
the
total
amount
of
pesticides found etc.
The
EWG
group
uses
this
cobbled
data
to
compile
their
“Dirty
Dozen”
report
which
is
routinely
used
to
warn
consumers
about
eating
these
contaminated
products and to only buy products from organic sources.
A
companion
EWG
report
the
“Clean
Fifteen”
lists
the
fruits
and
vegetables
that
have
the
least amount of pesticide contamination.
These
EWG
reports
continue
to
alarm
consumers,
health
advocates
and
the
news
media
each
year
--
creating
confusion,
frustration
and
enough
fear
that
many
people
refuse to eat these “contaminated” products.
There
has
been
push
back
against
the
tactics
used
by
EWG
to
produce
their
reports
but
it
is
routinely
overlooked
the
media,
ignored
by
health advocates and lost to most consumers.

You Really Are What You Eat
Recent
dietary
research
has
uncovered
12
different
nutrient
dense
foods
that
time
and
again
promote
good
over
all
health.
Coined
“super-
foods,”
they
tend
to
have
fewer
calories,
higher
levels
of
vitamins
and
minerals,
and
disease
fighting
antioxidants.
Beans
(legumes),
berries
(especially
blueberries),
broccoli,
green
tea,
nuts
(especially
walnuts),
oranges,
pumpkin,
salmon.
spinach,
tomatoes,
turkey,
can
all
help
stop
and
even
reverse
diseases
such
as
hyper-
tension,
diabetes,
Alzheimer’s,
and
some
forms
of
cancer.
And
where
one
might
have
an
effect
on
a
certain
part
of
the
body,
it
can
also
affect
the
health
of
other
body
functions
and
performance,
since
the
whole
body
is
connected.
With
these
12
foods
as
the
base
of
a
balanced,
solid
diet,
weight
loss
gimmicks
and
other
fly-by-
night
programs
can
become
a
thing
of
the past in your life.
Conversely,
the
ill-effects
of
an
unbalanced
diet
are
several
and
varied.
Low
energy
levels,
mood
swings,
tired
all
the
time,
weight
change,
uncomfortable
with
body
are
just
a
few
signs
that
your
diet
is
unbal-
anced.
An unbalanced diet can cause many
problems
with
maintenance
of
body
tissues,
growth
and
development,
brain
and
nervous
system
function,
as
well
as
problems
with
bone
and
muscle systems.
Symptoms
of
malnutrition
include
lack
of
energy,
irritability,
a
weakened
immune
system
leading
to
frequent
colds
or
allergies,
and
mineral
depletion
that
can
trigger
a
variety
of
health concerns including anemia.
And
since
the
body
is
connected,
realizing
that
an
unhealthy
body
will
result
in
an
unhealthy
spirit
only
makes
sense.
When
we
nourish
our
body
with
these
superfoods
and
complement
them
with
other
nutrient-
dense
and
healthy
fresh
foods,
our
spirit
will
be
vitalized
and
healthy
as
a
direct result.
Many
modern
diets
based
on
pre-
packaged
convenience
foods
are
sorely
lacking
in
many
vitamins
and
minerals,
which
can
affect
our
mental
capacities
as
well,
and
cause
irrita-
bility,
confusion,
and
the
feeling
of
‘being in a fog’ all the time.
Superfoods
can
be
the
basis
of
a
sound,
healthy,
nutritious
solution
to
curing many of these ailm
ents.
Although
the
amount
of
water
required
daily
can
vary
widely
from
person
to
person,
based
upon
factors
such
as
age
and
physical
condition,
activity
and
the
climate.
"8
glasses
of
water
per
day"
is
only
a
rule
of
thumb,
not
an
absolute minimum.
Most
of
the
water
our
bodies
require
comes
directly
from
the
food
we
eat
--
and
the
rest
comes,
not
only
from
drinking
water,
but
also
from
all
of
the
other
beverages
we
drink
during
the
day
such
as
tea,
coffee,
milk,
soft
drinks
etc.
The
best
general
advice
is
to
rely
upon
your
own
senses.
If
you
feel
thirsty,
drink;
if
you
don't
feel
thirsty,
don't
drink
unless
you
want
to.
The
human
body
already
does
a
very
good
job
of
regulating
water
balance
on
its
own,
and
you
don’t
need
to
force
yourself
to
drink
when
you are not thirsty for fear of being
dehydrated.

The Scoop
how to cure
inconsistency
On Poop
One of the plagues of the
modern world, and another
consequence of our
modern diet of poisonous
junk food, is inconsistency.
Not
only
does
junk
food
sacrifice
nutrition
for
“feel
good”
taste
it
also
fails
to
provide
the
natural
fibre
required
for
our
normal
bodily functions.
Of course, agribusiness has
a money making solution
for your inconsistency
problem. .

Weight Loss Tip
Whether
you
are
trying
to
lose
weight
or
just
improve
you
life
style…
just
bear
in
mind,
you
are
going
to
have
to
pull
out
all
stops
to
attain
your
weight
loss
goal.
You
cannot
put
less
effort
into
losing
weight
than
the
food
manufacturers
put
into
getting
you
to
eat
more
of
their
CRAP
(Carbohydrate
Rich
Artificial
Poison).
This
sounds
strange
(and
scary)
but
there
is
actually
an
Institute
of
Food
Technologists
that
study,
amongst
other
things,
how
they
can
actually
reprogram
the
human
brain
using
a
variety
of
"
hyperpalatable
"
foods.
To be successful in any
endeavour you cannot
underestimate the power
of the enemy.
If
you
have
been
diagnosed
with
one
of
a
host
of
chronic
diseases
that
are
running
wild
today…
you
can
expect
little
help
from
a
physician
or
a
doctor.
Medical
doctors
today
are
clueless
when
it
comes
to
treating
these
chronic
diseases
beyond
covering
up
some
of
the
symptoms
with
a
few
pills;
and
most
often
the
pills
they
prescribe do more harm than good.
The
reason
doctors
have
dropped
the
ball
on
these
particular
health
problems
is
because
doctors
are
never
taught
what
part
food
or
nutrition play in the health of their patients.
Even
a
five
year
old
understands
if
you
eat
poison
in
your
food
it
gets
digested,
then
it
enters
your
blood
stream
where
it
makes
you
sick and damages your body.
To
understand
why
the
doctors
of
today
know
so
little
about
nutrition
or
natural
medicines
we
only
need
to
look
back
in
time
about
a
hundred
years
when
health
care
was
quite
a
bit
different.
